Krabi. Hot sunny day and I had booked a tour to the u-turn on the South part of Thailand. Look it up on the map, if you don't really understand it, but maybe you remember the James Bond Islands- so look them up, though they have another name, but as it is an old James Bond movie has been filmed there.
So hours to drive with a group of people in a bus and then to enter a ship. But my day was quite not easy as I felt strange and thought I was to much walking in water the day before and thinking about all the car traveling, my back and bones aches but later the day I discovered that I had fever. Not so nice. First thought of course the food as I did not get a Mosquito near me. So the blowing of cold wind and the water coming over me was right and helped and a nice girl I talked to, as she had some Paracetamol. Now I know it had to do with to much sun and to much cold drinks and the fact that I took the drinks to fast. That can very easy happen to each of us as the body got a shock with this combination and we think of this to less.
Anyway I am not a wimpsy person and being on tour I had no other choice as to make the best of it.
Seeing the blue water and the trees standing in it and seeing the cliffs rising before you is kind of a very special picture coming up. Amazing how nature can be, is what you think and those little beaches down on the rocks makes them an Island and in the middle of all THE Island.
But before, we took a stop at one of the cliffs where most took a little boat trip and rode around and under the cliff. Not really all around as on the other side it was open ocean and the waves to big already for small boats with people who fear sun and to much moves in a boat. So I was happy to not have booked that part.
Then our group had to enter the bigger boat again and we got the sight of the James Bond Island. Not that big actually, but beautiful around, but the Island self is, well nice and monks visited them too and while all went up and down the stairs I took my place in the shadow and my pills.
After that, we had a bumpy ride on the boat where we got soaking wet. Like being under the shower with clothes, we climbed out of the boat and all of us were looking for sun, but we got tables to sit down at and eat lunch.
Because such tours are not made to lunch as long as you wish, we mostly eat fast and went on to discover the swimming village. A village standing in front of one of those cliffs. Many stores to buy things and then it was interesting to see the school and how people actually lived there. But you have to go by yourself to discover. Most tourist took save ways, but I am always too curious to see more. Even if it is to discover how the people throw their garbage into the ocean. The pics will show you I guess quite something.
Then you might think this is all we did. But... No.
Being back on land we drove to a temple and the guide told as that all the area is called Temple and so we have to avoid showing shoulders and knees. To make pics is not allowed he told us. The truth is, it's not true... But guides sometimes tell you wrong things. That's why I recommend to read books and to search the net and so on. Here we had the Temple inside a cave and between the first part and the second part of the cave there are the apes. Not big but be carful with your classes, baggages and so on. You can give them bananas but try not to touch them as the boss off the ape group can get angry.
One of my pics will also show what happen to nature when apes become kind of a holy thing and get food from tourist- the cliff- once had many trees and was green is now damaged and mostly just a rock now. Sadly.
Then the last stop was a waterfall. Well, being happy about what you see is more about what you expect. As I experienced at several times, some things are made bigger in the prospect for tourists as they are. A waterfall can be small. Though some of us did bath in the water down on the ground. But a waterfall, well it was a version of it.
The last part was of course to drive back and me going to bed, taking more pills and sleep and get better soon.
Now enjoy the pictures and have fuuuuuuun!
