No we are treveling to new places, seeing traditional dances and if you want some pics from nice dancing women, well then search the net... but don't worry... You will get paintings with those dancing women and guys who dance the monkey dance, which is made from the german painter Walter Spies. Although the singing is older from this dance and was used for ceremony. So are the most dances you see ceremony dances from old times and as a tourist you see just a bit of it, cos they last much longer.. until 8 hours of dance and singing and acting.. much to long for the money paying tourist. It is very interesting to see the dances after all, but I did not made any pics, cos I wanted to enjoy them. So, if you want to get an impression, them watch youtube or search in the internet.
Anyway our way crosses another things too, which were...
Seing the mountains, the plants and animal farms, like wild birds, we also drove to the Elephant Safari park and yes I was riding on one.... also we where in Ubud in the Maya Resort and had a real good time there, but it would be sad if we did not take a tour to the art villages, which were a big disappoint. The wooden art was very nice and fine, but not everything was real wood and the silver things - so boring, nothing special, nothing i did not knew already from germany and much to expansive. We just wanted to be away as soon as we could. Sad but true this is something which happens often when tourism gets bigger. Things are made for the stupid big mass and so the culture which was and is good is hiding behind cliche and boring things.
So when the raining day came we had the question of making a river rafting. But as it is you get wet in any way we of course decided to make the rafting, which was a lot of fun and rain and bit sunshine in the end. A long walk down the hills and waterfalls and so you had a best warm up for the ride on the boat... the river was the Ayung river.
Then it was time to leave Ubud and go right straight to the north Bali part.
On the way we saw the temple Pura Ullun, which is on a river and for the people who work with rise very important and of course, as rise is the most important plant in Bali, you see this temple on the money. After a while you can not miss the monkeys, cos they live next to the streets and are easy to feed, but never touch them, not even the pasha, the boss of all of them. Can be dangerous.
In the north we had the baddest restaurant, but it seems in the north the balinese seems to be very poor and so it looks very simple and dirty. Rise is not so often too see, but palm and wine fields. Yes wine. They use to have them 15 years and then change the field back to a rise field.
Don't ask me why.
The beaches are known to be black, although it is not pure black. The beaches are not that big and mostly with a lot of stones.
The Hotel then was old Bali Style and not very good. I was dirt, part damaged a bit and so it was like from falling down from a 5 star hotel to a 1 star. Quite a shock. But a shock are the restrooms in Bali too. Mostly they are some kind of restroom. Dirty, damaged. ugly.
Well you can survive everything. Can't you?!
Enjoy the pics... anyway.. have fun...
