Bali- ---Seminyak-Ubud-Seminyak

That means, we are going through the last part of my journey in Bali.
As you may remember, the round tour I made has just finished and I arrived in Seminyak again.
Two days at the Bali Agung Village. Again. 5 min to the beach and a little house just for myself. Time to sleep as long as I wanted and relax and write down what I remember from all the days.
Of course I have a journey diary. There are so many things you will never remember after they have been done and some of these things you will not gonna tell everyone.
But one of the things I am able to tell you is that you sometimes have the luck to meet new people before you meet them in real.
Over Facebook, months before, I made contact with a sweet and very nice guy.
Frank is his name and he works in Bali as a fashion designer ("Franksland" is the name of his company... look under: https://www.facebook.com/Thefranksland). He enjoys living in Bali and as we are living in a modern world we got contact via facebook and mobile. So we meet and I had the luck to see new parts of Seminyak and above. Driving with him on one of those scooters, we let the wind blow through our hair and had lunch in one of those Warungs- that's the traditional way to eat. I mean, these are little street restaurants, kind of and you get there rise, fish, bananas and a bit more, made in typical balinese way. Otherwise you never really get a chance of classic balinese food. Sadly most of the restaurants have become very european or american style...
Anyway, we also drove through the shopping streets of Seminyak and then stepped into a fashion store, which had a coffee in the backroom. Kind of. You can come into the coffee from the side of the house/ building, but anyway, it look very nice, as long you did not look up, but then charming, good coffee, nice stuff, pictures of old times like the 50tis and in the restroom you meet people with tattoos on one wall and on the other Marilyn Monroe. Yes you read right the lovely Miss MM. Bali seems to have a taste of that women. What a nice surprise.
After all, we where also at the beach and had some drinks and a wonderful sunset.
Then it was time to travel to Ubud. A week in a town with art and things to discover. Be sure when you are there to go into the coffees- like the "KAFE" in Jl Hanoman, you'll meet so many and so nice people from all around the world. Be also sure to take sidetracks to see the usual way of living and discover art which is less traditional and just made for tourist. Even though, there are good in what they do... I am happy to have found the painter Frank Malik, who paint just with a pen and his pictures are very nice, just black and white but showing Bali in a way which is in no way corny.
I bought a picture and it is now becoming its frame. The painter self is painting with just one eye now, cos an accident made him lose one of his eyes. A very nice man, coming from Java, had been in Singapore and is now married to a balines women. Although he wanted to be a taxi driver, his parents told him to be a painter. Well done parents. :-)
Also when you go through the traditional market, try to take the stairs up and down following pictures and maybe you also meet the little sacred place I found there, which was quite and had an altar. It was such a nice thing to hear nothing, even though I was surrounded  a minute ago with so many noises.
But the highlight more or lesson was- Mr. Ketut Liyer.
If you have read the book "eat , pray, love" or seen the movie with the same name. You will know who he is. For all the others, he is a very famous healer and very old, maybe the oldest balines. But no one knows how old he really is and he must be really over 100 years.
I had the luck to find my way to him after I did not had the luck to make the "white magic village" tour.  So the hotel stuff told the guy who did not know any healer in Ubud about that man, although they did not mention his name. So I was like, well let's try and see who it will be.
As I saw the sign with his name on it I got an idea that it maybe could be him. The medicine man, the healer, the painter (was a good one- I saw his pics) and so on.
First, if you wanna know how it looks where he lives... then watch the movie. There you see the original house and street and all the rest. Yes looks bigger as it is, but it was filmed at his place, except... himself. But the film shows a man much like the book told us (written by Elisabeth Gilbert) and the book is very right and true. Ketut is a very charming, old, but smart and interesting man. No teeth yes, but very nice in a way everyone would like. Although you cannot over see he had problems to keep all the things in mind and he once could speak better foreign languages, but what he was reading from the palm of my hand was mostly right. That stuff he still can do but after all he is still alive! I never really believed he would be.
That he was the real one I could not have been more sure about after seeing the book from Elisabeth Gilbert and her wishes to him in it and Cards she wrote him. By the way, her writing looks very nice...
So then, what more to tell? I did my meditation and yoga every day and it felt very good after a while, cos you feel how your body relax and the muscles get back to the right direction.... and the lunch in the hotel was very good and the Spas in Ubud are to recommend.
After my 7 days in Ubud I can say, 5 would have been enough and a Mac Store is also to find there and if you wonder why I mention it. Well Apple is a DIVA and so the Mc Adapter is not helping to give back electricity to your Ipad but make it this way-----> Put the normal adapter into the wall and into the normal adapter the Mc adapter, then connect it with the Ipad and tata..  now you can get energy! Crazy but that's the way it works.
Leaving Ubud was in one way sad, but you maybe know it too, when the time has come that your journey and therefore your holiday comes to an end, you want to come home anyway.
Being back in Seminyak I was staying in the Eden hotel which is actually a house for three companies or families or pairs, in the middle of a hotel block, 15 min away from the beach. It was like being in the garden Eden but it was also kind of being alone there when you are traveling alone and arrive in such place. That was a place to share. But also last two days and so it was much of... when am I gonna go and I wanna go home.
As long as I like Bali, I learned to love my old middle Europe more. Again.
Fall/ Autum is waiting home and that was not a bad though.
So last pics you'll see are some of Bali from the plan in the sky...
By by till the next time...
I will be there again if I can..
