Did I mention the Pride Parade?
After the tradional breackfast...
It was on saturday. Best weather you can wish, so sunny and hot and well you really missed the trees on the streets, although Stockholm is a very green town, but has not that much trees in the streets actually, like Berlin. I and some of my friends got sunburned... in SWEDEN!
The Parade was big, I mean 60.000 people where on the streets and 600.000 watched it live and shared the passion, the love and applause. Everyone seems to be part of it and you know, Stockholm self the real town has just 800.000 people livingin it.
I also meet a friend from Berlin who lives in Frankfurt now. He had also the same name like the friend I was living at. What a world, what a life!
Anyway- you could see teens and policeman and the traffic industry and also the moms and dads of homosexuals on the parade, you could see those many many rainbow families- there were so much of them that no one can say after seeing them, they don't exist and are just a number of fools. You saw the handicapped and all where so happy and earnest in the same time, under a very loving sun and by the way there is a church in Sweden who prays every year for rain on the parade, but well.. DON'T RAIN ON MY PARADE and if there will be... We simply don't care! We are there!

Hungry? Yes after seeing all this, having our drinks and meeting friends and getting the sun into our blood. We went to eat at a restaurant. It's not cheap in Stockholm... very much more like it is in London, you pay a fortune for food, but it tasted good and we had fun. So much fun. We where talking about the challange in life but you know... letting them getting down is less an option for .. you know.. everyone... should never be an option... I mean.. make something of it, do what you like and love, otherwise it would be a wast of time...!
Then we wanted to go to the Museum to see the clothes of Jean Paul Gaultier, but it was too late, so change of plans and we went on just to take a walk and eat and drink coffee in a.. well, coffee.
What a day and I hope you enjoy the pics from it.
Love me some Stockholm and in my heart there it is... the song of this town.. which is actually well known in Sweden.
"Stockholm i mitt hjärta, låt mig besjunga dig nu.... genom Mällarens kärlek till havet, ...en blandning av sött och salt..."
LOVE & LIGHT
