What now my love?

In the last weeks my country shakes. 

Refugees are coming and the nazis are on the rise again. 

Fire is burning and people are clapping hands with smile in their face. 

People who just arrived after a very long and painful journey get welcome like shit and not even the police is doing something again it. Even worse the police claim it's the refugees foult. 

But to be true. Europe is shaking. The fascist minds are on the rise everywhere. 

We stand on the age of a big change in life and history and what do people do and politic? They refuse to see, to act to take in. Thought all should know better that all this happening now is a result of the last years politic and habbits of the western world. It is even the result of not telling the whole truth after world war- the second. 

The warnings have been in the 90'tis and in the beginning of the year 2000. But why listen as it all seemed so far away and our life did not change to the bad. 

Now we are in a crisis. Thought they call it a refugee crisis, it is not. It's a crisis of politic and our point of view. Our expectations and the world we made up. This world is crashing down and of course as we never really cope with the possibility that this could happen, we stand with no real idea how to deal with this challange. And it is a challenge we all have to get through, no matter if we want it or not. 

But far to many still refuse to see the facts and the logic that just 2- 3 mill. people are changing their place. Europe has over 500mill people and declare itself out of order. What a mess! What have we done or better not done all the years that we say so?

Frightening it is but our focus should be on what is possible, what we want and what future we are going to create. It is actually a big chance now. 

Sadly the politic still likes the old way, the way of fear. Even massmedia is most focused on fear.

But back from big politic to the politic in your own country. What can we do? Stand up and go on the streets. Yes. Talk about it and use facts. Yes. Make the massmedia do focus on the lies and use facts and also to help people open their minds that extrem parties are not the choice of the hour. Instead we should choose to follow the heart. 

Sounds as you heard it once and it sounds like an idiot is telling you while being blind and will tell you only love, love, love is the answer, but you have the feeling that this never function..? 

Oh it is that simple with love but so hard to live up to. So what more can we do? 

Some help the refugees who are arriving from the sea. Some help them on the way to Europe. Some help them when they are here, waiting for a future to start for real. Some spend clothes and money and some give out food and work as a connecting part in communication between the new world and those who entered it. 

But others fear that Islam will destroy Europe. Some say the African will treat our women badly. They say Köln showed it but the truth is of all those who have been found from the police, of all the many, many mans, just 3 have been from outside Germany. Some claim they are among us and prepare for another attac and so they say that most of the refugees are criminal, thought the highest rates of criminals is among the far right wing and their sympathisants. 

Yes, it is time to talk crystal clear and not deny the problems and mistake we have and made. Yes, criminals are always to find. And yes they will come more refugees as we do not do anything to stop the wars in other countries and I mean also the war of money. 

But those who can read- know that. Like me. Question is, how to reach those who don't, who fall victime for the fascist mind? How do you reach someone who has fear without having a real reason? How do we wake them up if they don't believe in masspress (which I can understand..)? How can we lead them to open thier minds for facts and reasons and what they can do? How can we make them believe in politic, when they don't trust them but the far right? Even thought they are telling lies more then all the others. 

I have the feeling that blocking the demonstration of fascist is not enough. Making jokes about them is not enough and on the other hand, most will not understand those. 

I am sure there is not one way to deal with this situation and I have a hunch that we all must do a bit more then we are doing now. If we don't want history to repeat, it is up to us, the common people. Not waiting for the politic to see, we must tell them and already this crisis is managed most by those who do it for free. On one hand this is very hopeful, on the other it makes me having bad feelings as those who are the reason for the crisis can still say they do enough, they don't need to, they have time. 

But how to tell them and all those silent people that time is up. There is no time anymore! What we do now and decide now is our future. How do you want your future? Backwards or forward? 

To vote is still important but also to tell them damn politics that they have to work for the people again and stop working for the lobby. 

How clear must the situation be that those people see? And how crystal clear must it be that all those silent people stand up? 

I'm not saying no one does. Grateful we can be that there are in fact people waking up and going on the streets and shout out- Stop. It's time for worldpeace, love and respect. It's time to fulfill the change which our grandfathers and mothers started. It's time for true equality and a new way of living together. But it is also time to stand up in your family. Discussion are needed and feeding each other with facts. Searching for ways to be with each other without fear and hate. 

But it is still not enough! We need more. Make the brainstorming with friends and find ways to call out for the right direction. Think outside the box again to find what we can do to get this crisis in a good and happy future. We need to. Old ways are out of question now. Find new ways. Find new hope and find yourself. 

Tell others what you found out and what your ideas are, because many have the same feeling. 

THERE MUST BE MORE. THERE MUST BE SOMETHING STRONGER. 

These days, I am thinking about that. Trying to figure out something better, stronger. Outside the box. Let's help each other in this.

Let's have a positive start!

Happy New Year and welcome to 2016. Another year and another chances to make the world a better place. 

Yes, in the end of last year we had quite sad thoughts about what was happening but also some nice one. Not all was and is bad and hope is still around. 

But maybe you need some more to feel more comfortable as you maybe know five positive words are needed to clear off one negative. 

So let's take in the good things in life and see what I have found...

More people then ever have access to drinking water. 1990 it has been 77% now in 2015 there are 91% all around the world.

More people then ever live longer then ever. 1990 the expected lifspan was 65,3 years and now in 2015 we arrived to 71 years. That can't be bad. That means we did some things right.

Fewer starving people then before as we know. Just take a look at 1990: 1010,7 million people did starve. Then in 2004 it was already 961 million people and the number went down again and so we had in 2015 around 795 million people. Sure still far to many, but significantly less.

And another positive thing we achieved: Less children die. The infant mortality has fallen from 12,7 million in 1990 to less then the half in 2015 with 5,9 million. Thought it's still a tragic number and could make you shiver. All those little souls but then, less have to die. More stay alive and get a second and third and fourth summer and so on. Let's hope this continues.

And the fifth thing I will give you is that you could see the internet rise and in the last years also in good ways as people started to connect and get aware that you have a place to share positive thoughts, to remind each other in the good in us, that you can share positive words and pictures and that we can help each other and give trust and faith, that we can understand things and ask, and last but not least that we should use this medium to make this world a better place. Just IMAGINE.... 

Five positive things... well it's a start, isn't it? Let's be grateful for that.

When will they understand?

That what is happening now, is so much like 1933. Very similar situation in our politics and how people do react to problems we have now. 

Then, long ago, but not that long ago, we had also a crisis with jobs and money was not much to be found. The working situation got worse and people did wonder who is to blame and had started giving up hope. In the same time, technic became a bigger part and all became faster, much faster then most people have been used to and so they needed time to adjust. But things also got more complicated and people had to question them self, what do they want, but like today, many have never really learned to deal with such challenge and so they look out for easy ways. But there are not such things as easy ways outside and so because most know this and knew this and are/ have been afraid. 

This fear is the ground for what was coming and is going on. The fear is feed by those who want you to listen to them and want you to stay blind and hate. And blind people do we have a hundred thousand. 

I wonder if those people want to see the future and why they deny the past, the stories we know from that time or have they already forgotten? The generation is nearly dead now and no one is to explain the war, the fear and how this all was possible. 

Yes, the big parties have made so many mistakes and told so many lies that people no longer trust them and therefore look out for the small parties, because they still hope that politic will make a better future, forgetting the lesson they should have learned that politic will not make the better future especially not if the people who work in politic act the way they do. I mean as long as they are not for people, they are never to trust. But as I said fear and complicated development around, people search for easy solutions and listen therefore for the loudest voice instead for the voice who speaks the truth.

Funny thing is that just those people from far right and left claim the press to lie and lie self as much as they can, again and again. But this lesson should be learned too. Thought if I watch the reaction now and then it seems always the same. People ratter stay blind and lazy and are unwilling to take responsibility. Far to many go that way through life and wonder why hate went into there homes and time always showed them how wrong they have been, but sadly most of them prefer then to be blind for the fact that it was also their own fault. 

Now hate has become a much bigger part in our lives again and hate speech from our own people, claiming the refugees bring hate. Lies all over the way. The far right and far left get stronger, work together again against jews and homosexuals, against the future and against modern times, agains democracy and against women rights, against equality and a free thinking and mind, free speech and life. They say war is the only solution. Another lie. 

Just like before 1933, we burn books, houses, we hate and kill those who are different, we start fearing telling the truth and the far right and far left uses the words of the middle and makes it hard to evolve to come forward and make peace and have true discussions in the name of love. Just like that time in 1933 we start to write hate lines on windows, destroy busses and trains, restaurants and from helping organizations the tents and buildings and ignore the fact that this all will cost more money then making it the peaceful way. It will bring such damage to our self. 

The fact that it has also become hard to talk with those people who lead the way of hate is very much a like 1933. You can tell people the true statistic but they don't care or call you the bad guy, making up lies. Just like 1933 some countries become more and more human and modern while others take one step back in time and another one to get back to dark times and telling people it is the best for them, thought history always showed that this was and is never the case. 

And all those telling how to handle the refugee crisis are so similar to what they did around 1933 that I think people should be very a shame to like these ideas. 

When will they ever learn that love is the only way, that hate never made it better, that pushing and hurting people never brings you luck and a happy time. That future is only together to win and our big problems need each and everyone to work together. 

Yes, things need to change, like that time then, but not again the same way. Not again dictatorship, not again hate, not again the old systems who never function at the end. We need something new. Something true. We need something with focus on equality, love and respect. It will be a hard way, yes, and that is another reason I guess people run to far right and far left and stay blind, as they fear change and fear the unknown future, the fact to tell them self what they do could be wrong, what they did focus on could be a lie and what they believed that makes them happy was an illusion. 

So many people are so afraid to lose money and status and have no idea to live without the things they shop. It scares them and  makes them listen more and more to the wrong people, to hate speech and make them believe them and those lies instead of asking them self why. And they are clever, starting with nearly harmless words and being out now with the same words like the Nazis and fascists. For many people this became normal, which would have been a scandal years ago. They got used to this and blind to see the truth before their eyes. Sadly. 

Lessons will be learned and have to. That is for sure and if we go on this way we just now do, we will come into very dark times again, but don't tell me you did not know, did not see. We all do and far to less have courage. It is time to wake up for real, to stand up and make up and let lose and spread hope, love and light. 

Grateful are those who already do. Grateful can we be that so many just now are living that way to give us an idea how to do, where to look and how to talk and what we can be. Grateful can we be that people not only pray for peace. That so many help those refugees our countries are unable to manage. Grateful can we be that so many people try all they can to bring the light into the darkness and shine you a way, bring you a candle to go then alone this way, bring you warm hearts and tell you to trust. Trust in you and that love is really all we need, that money means nothing and luck is a matter of thinking and acting. That blaming others is boring and of no interest. That all you need lies in you, all the best future. 

Yes, it will take time. For some- more, for some- less. No one can tell when you will be up there again. But you will be one day, no matter how deep you have to dig. 

Grateful can we be for those who save the earth, the health of others and try to put beauty into our lives. All the music, all the dance, all the books and stories, all the paintings and other arts, all the good technic and project to clean the ocean, the earth. All the help you get without money. Money is seldom the reason why those good things happen. It is the though that there is a will for better. Grateful ca we be for those who try to teach you to focus on the positive as there is so much god worth fighting for. 

But just now we must wake up to see the dark similarities of today with 1933 in our world, in our countries. We may have less wars going on then ever, but that can only be the beginning. Less wars until we have non left must be the way. We can be great and get over this hard times. We need a change and we can make it. Just get up on your feed and act. Stop blaming, make it better, find ways!

Make them understand, those who refuse to let lose the blindness. 

Just now the fate gives us an opportunity to prove us, to change us, to get richer and bigger and define our future. Will we make it better or worse. Therefore let lose from the old patterns and figure out some new. Let's make it better. There are already great ideas out there. Have faith, trust. It's time.

The holy family

Every christmas, many people gather together to sit on the same table no matter what. Every year we want a very warm and cosy christmas and celebrate life and the holiness of family. 

We want love, we want to enjoy the time between the years, as we say. 

Yes, the gifts are a big part, mostly for children as they really are looking forward to them. 

But as a grown up, we don't need to give away gifts we can buy ourself- most time. 

So no wonder disappointed faces are many times the results. Thought we should be grateful for each gift as it is the thought of another human for or about us. Hopefully filled with love. 

But oh so many times it ends in chaos, alcohol and heavy talking,  in having dispute and anger argument. 

Same story every year- sitting with your siblings on the same table you don't like. The bigger the family is the more it is to expect that someone will fall out and be loud and you wish you would be anywhere but home. Sadly. 

So the question is, why do we keep on going that way? Do we really need to come together for a day to celebrate and play a game we don't want? I mean that is not the idea christmas is about. 

Yes, it is about family and the holy family being Maria, Joseph and Jesus have been refugees no one wanted to let in and therefore they had to hide in a shed. The church makes it look so romantic every year, but it is not a nice picture. 
But what is true is, that it was a little family being together, happy for what they've got and cherish what they have. 

It was and is about to be grateful and not about shop till you drop. 

It is meant to be together with those who you love. If you are able to do that. But it is not meant to be stress and a force. 
Why not just having a merry little christmas as they sing.  Just some people, not the whole bunch. Just those people you want to be that very special day, to eat, to chat, to play nice games and to give each other love, hugs and gifts and to talk about everything freely. Must not be the family you are born in. Can be friends, can be your own little family, can be a mother with her two boys. 

Must not even be at home. Be on the place you wanna be. Make your own very special christmas. Make your own tradition and if your young, don't worry, try out and that way you'll  find out what you like and what you don't. There is no rule to do so and so. But remember it is about the spirit of christmas. That what Dickinson was writing about in his novel. 

So, like if you feel as the person being to much in the room, then change it next christmas and find your own way to celebrate. It is no fun and no need for that. Christmas should be beautiful, not a commercial at home. Christmas should not be a reason to get drunk and hold back because you cant talk like you want as your siblings are problematic. 

So maybe you got an Idea of what it could be, a very little and nice christmas ( or a bigger one, but just with those you love- wherever you are.)

I have a tale to tell

I wish old houses would be able to actually tell, then what would we know, what could we ashive and what rumours would delight our days! 

Again I will write about my hometown and places you can discover when you are here. 

As it is, this town is not that little and has a quite interesting history and while the years gone buy the town is changing. 

As a tourist you'll be for sure most time trying to figure out what is the centre and what to see is most inside the ring of our overground. Of course the buildings, the museums and clubs are mostly there but we have also other places to discover and if you have more then three days or have been already in town once or twice, then here is another area whish shows you how different Berlin can look and feel. 

Remember this town is founded in the way that two villages became one little town. Then all the other villages around became part of this town and so this place became bigger and still all those churches and gardens, all those parcs who have been once the centre of the life are now part of a big puzzle called Berlin and then as history went on or better the time, we took away houses, changed places and build street after street and the wars have punched in too and so some places are special as war has not done damage or humans themself. 

After the well known Kurfürstendamm which was once the longes shopping mile, you'll find the Schlossstrasse in Steglitz. Just 10- 15 min away from the Zoo and the old centre of the west part (you remember that there was a wall once splitting the town in two).

But shopping itself can be dull, can't it? So why should you be there, coming out of the underground? To see the "Bierpinsel" a building colourful and closed now due to unsurence fight? No, it's because the parallel streets are a wonderful area to do a walk before or after shopping and having a coffee. Why? Because you can find an italy villa or some house with a south german balcony or a miracle house or a little castle. The reason? The war did not destroy much in this area and it is a quite walk you'll take and your orientation point or better street is the Grunewaldstrasse as you walk the streets left and right, up and down. 
For me it is a pleasure to take the dog walks there.

Thought for me, it feels like beeing in a whole other town not being in Berlin. And that is another reason why I recommend this little part to discover and if you come buy bus, then take the M48 and a lot of time, as this bus line can be taken from the centre in the east part and will take about an hour which is actually worth as you get a sightseeing tour too. Does this sound good? Well then... have fun!

Love me!

Haven't we read this many times? Have you not heard about loving each other and love yourself? Have you not heard and read about to close your eyes and stay in silence? Have you not heard to eat this and that and which food is good and bad? Have you ever wondered about when to know you can trust those helping books, those yoga session or promises of meditations lifting up your spirit?

Well, there is one book to give you a guide. One book to read and clear your mind. One book to be astonish, to smile and be afraid of when reading, while you long for more to read in the same time. One book to make you understand what does your path means and why do you live the way you do and how it comes you never reached your destiny yet. 

Yes, it's an old book and from a time where people did the same as we do today. Searching for answers, searching for peace and searching for easy ways. 

That book, very light written, but in no way boring, playing in another time and land will show you with its story how a man can change back and forth and finally understand, what he's up to and how he wants to live. 

This book tells you about a man who is giving up again a life style one after the other. A man who really tries everything to master silence, peace and to be without wish and to be therefore happy and wealthy. This man and his story shows you that you can go many ways but each way can lead to nowhere and anywhere, because it is up to you. 

This man is called Siddhartha.

Hermann Hesse has written many books but this one I recommend warmly as it is about us, you and me and the truth we still not live after. 

A spiritual book, not being spiritual like in our days, but just being a book, a story which   makes you feel the spirits nature. 

It's not a big book, nor a book with many sides. But it contains a lifetime. 

In a language which is smooth and soft, but growls into you. 

This is my second recommendation for the autumn of books.

Yes, another old writer, which is also dead but should be known still, again and again... and again....

Run the world

Don't wast your precious time asking: "Why isn't the world a better place?" It will only be time wasted. The question to ask is: "How can I make it better?". To that there is an answer. Said Leo Buscaglia an american Author and professor and he is also and known as " Dr. Love". 

Once I was in Peru and also visited the most famous place the Machu Picchu and was in the rain forest at the Amazon River near Iquitos and other places. 

In Iquitos they have already understood the letters you have read in the beginning. They try to protect the Amazon River and the rain forest and also the indians. They work with organization who let tourist come inside but never let them walk away from the path they have made for them. Making this world place a better place and help them to achieve a better future. They still remember the past and how bad it came to pass them. 

When I was in the rain forest I felt much alive and my eyes and ears became kind of bigger, more sensitive to what is around. I also met wonderful people who I sadly did not meet again, but that is the way it is often, when you travel around the world. Sometimes you stay in contact sometimes not, even when you want it. Anyway. 

When I arrived at Machu Picchu I had hoped for an adventure of discovering and feeling, but it was not an adventure, thought I discovered a place I liked and have a lot respect for and what I know from the history, I have much respect to give to those who lived once on that place but now it is a place with too much tourist, even thought each has the right and should get a chance to see such a splendid area, but then those high amount of people makes it hard to feel anything from the past. The flow which must have been able to feel once, when they discovered this place again is put under the energy and stories and food steps of a hundred, of thousand of people. 

There was only one tiny house which made me stop and feel something which could be old. So this was one thing which made me start thinking how to make it a better experience after all. The second was the history. How our people came and destroyed all just in the name of a god which they never followed or the rules they said this god made. They made the world a place not worth living and took so much away that it is a wonder, that this country did survive. Now Peru is getting back e.g. the woods we took away and they needed a long time to understand that too, because with all the hate such human brings, the knowledge is disappearing and all has to conquer again. I am very glad the rain forest is coming back and therefore does it scare me when Brazil is giving out the right to cut down 80% of their own rain forest. So what do we do? 

Gladly some people got together to fight, but will this be enough? How can we in Europe be so calm and not making our politician tell them that it is wrong. The results, the consequences of cutting down such an area is also to feel at our place. 

Can we forgive the past? We have to, to go and come forward. Can we forgive what is happening now? We must find a way and open our heart for that. But also we must start doing finally the right thing and stop just waiting for something to happen and stop just talking and forgetting acting because we are to afraid. 

Just look around there is a way. There is always a way, and yes sometimes it is a hard way out. 

Starting with spending the money for things made in your area and avoid things with to high prices for the nature and humans who live and produce in the way they made it. Look closer to what you buy and even think twice when you travel how to treat a place. And at least stand up and not only inform yourself, even shout as loud you can to the industry and politic to change the way they act. This last thing will be sure the hardest thing to do. Otherwise we would already stand on better grounds.

So walking around in Peru made me wonder and realize that the world is a wonderful place, even thought there is a lot to do to make it much better and that it is really time to start finding what we're gonna do.

The new hate?

One of the question many still have for people who lived around 1930 and after is- how could this happen? Mostly this question is ask to germans, but let's be true it is a question to all of the western world. How could they do nothing?

They did nothing? Well, some tried to avoid, some did flee and some fought for the right to be and stay and told people how wrong it is to say that only the white, non jewish man is the right and true human.  And yes, it all started much earlier and we discover now these days how long some thoughts already sat in people minds. How much it was a normal thing to believe that people are not worth the same and it does matter where you from, even thought already that time people could and should have known better as they realized and found out with science how wrong some of these thoughts have been.

But now we are in a new time and it seems a new hate is growing and growing and using the same lies as they used it before but many of those who spread the hate and hurt people and burn people are young people. How could this be? Where did they learn to think so wrong and to hate and believe that a problem will fade with hate and killing people. 

Is it to feel power by giving fear? Is it to feel stronger by beating up a so called weak human?

Is it that it seems more easy to shout how bad the world is instead of doing good by yourself and those people understood only- do something by yourself because the politics will not and you have to do it right and that means fight and hate and trying to make sure that no one will get in the way?

It sure is that many of those young people have a very simple view on the world and things and therefore have more easy to believe those lies about the jobs taking away and the money wasting stories, even thought everywhere they can find the truth that it isn't that way and even cruelty is mostly made by their own people and not a foreign one and the marriage is not getting down by some gays. But how can we make them listen? 

How can they understand if they don't even listen to people like the president? Thought they have reacted very, very late and just in small and light words instead of taking action and stand up and be clear and loud and believable but power seems to distract them. 

How can we also change the view of people if the press is mostly showing the negative sides, letting the hate pass without a comment as they say it is press freedom and freedom of speech? How can a man  who believes that all people from saudi arabia, syria and so on are bad people  and so they believe they are in fact different and difficult, when the press is telling only stories about those who make problems and it also looks like all of them or  most of these humans are the same, even thought this is in no way the truth? How can we change their minds if young people believe that all in the internet is true, because they haven't learn to differ? Just take those mobile thing. The story that a refugee with a mobile can't have it that bad. Or if they paid such amount of money, they should not be here. 

Yes, some people try to make the internet the place also for making a way for the truth or part of it and telling people about those lies. But how can we make them listen and believe, when they have such a simple view on life and those things in the world and then those simple thinking makes them feel stronger and being part of a group which seems more worth? How can you open a closed mind? 

But then to go back in time, even clever people have been nazis and fascists. 

Yes, propaganda once started, is hard to avoid and to change people later into a new system is not easy to do if able as they have to make believe and to understand and not just say the words they read without feeling. No wonder that so many stayed the same in silence when it is about their believes and the shock of being wrong suddenly is also a reason and oh not to forget that far to many had not only the same job, they went on like they never did anything wrong. 

Rasism has become normal again in many countries, thought it has never for real left the building. 

We have the very same condition as 1900 and also far to many people are acting the same, even in politic they react the same.  The silence is again very strong and the warning words come from some people but not those who should know better. A president, a minister or one of all the others so called important people- they all should have open up much earlier.  How many mistakes we made, it is none of the matter as we must do right now and change what has to be change and do what has to be done and also give the possibility to do it, because a law can only come in effect, if the government gives the money to pay people to do so. And of course to make the law clear and to use it wise and to use our minds. It's a shame that we put foreign people far away from our towns and forbid them to do a step outside that place. It is a shame that we need far to much time to prove and give a chance of a new life. It is a shame that we act blind as a government when people are in need of food, cloths or a warm place. It is a shame that most help these days come from private people and organisation because the government failed again and again and again. It is a shame that we still discuss to open or close the borders, when we know it does not matter for those in need, in pain, in fear or without any hope on their place if they will try to come or not. They will come, no matter what just it matters in the way that a closed border brings more dead people. 

The question is, if the government, the politics are in the way interested to help or not. It is about money, power and international connection. But those who make war, those who sell weapons have to take the refugees who flee from our guns and bombs and the hate we build up with that. 

Yes, we have less wars as ever but more refugees and harder situation in the countries in war and also those who had war. But the western world made it worse in the last 50 years in many countries by our way of acting like an ignorant asshole who believed to know always better. 

And now lets look on us today. What can we do? Shout out? Stand up! Fight the hate but with words, with peace, with love, with songs, with helping people and with writing and talking about that and also with being on the streets and tell our government and president to act in the name of equality! of respect! out of the knowledge that we have to do it with humans and we all did wrong far to long and that it is time to tell the truth and act like that. It's enough! It's enough!

We don't need to change the law, we just have to act. We have to name hate and terror from our own people and give them law and order and show them the right way, the way of non hate and respect. 

We have to discover civil courage again!

Many countries these days have right wings politics and those have become in many places much stronger then 1930! How will this lead to a better and brighter future, if we act the same as our grandparents did? Remember we still ask how could they?! It is the way we do today, if we do not change and these days the possibilities, the ways of finding a way out are much better, much more and open to all of us. No one can say we did not know the results! And after all why not telling and naming the right wing what they are?! It is time and also we have to tell it like it is with the hard left side- they are to name the same and so we can make clear that extremist sides are not humans sides. 

It is time! The new hate has to stop! We are humans and are all equal! We need to look closer and change for real. As fast as we can and as good as we can, otherwise we will land in war and hate and repeat history one more time. This would be a sad thing. And yes this is real now.

Once in Sweden

Now it is nearly a year ago that I started working in Sweden a second time. Thought it feels unreal that times flies that way and I am pretty sure if I had decided to stay, I would work there and be happy, but I did decide to be back in Berlin and to study on University. 

After all, this year is all about the future and getting near me, myself and I- to make changes. 

Yes, some things must be left to start new things and for some things I feel simple too old, and not because I think it is not allowed to do this and that because of my age, it is just simple, I feel the time is over for some things. 

Does not mean I discover them again in a view years. 

But what I was not so sure of was Sweden in future as I thought it maybe would be the end of our story, but it seems it will not be like that. As a town people of course it is much about Gothenburg and Stockholm. Over the years I got to know them better and because of my friends I also got to know things better there. Thank you for that!

It is very much a difference if you are a tourist or actually living there. 

As I worked in Gothenburg I remember the places and names of them much better and could walk with closed eyes and I still dream and think in Swedish and even at work sometimes I first know/ remember the swedish word before I catch the german version. 

Sure when it is about the weather it is very clear that Berlin wins high. But as I already know you can have a good year there and here and also very much have a cold summer and rainy days. Sometimes it is warmer in Sweden then in Germany or Berlin. Even in winter it can happen and happened that it was very much colder in Berlin then it was in Gothenburg and Stockholm. 

What I like to remember from Sweden is the relaxing way of living they use to have, thought it can led to being lazy and unable to do something, but Berlin has a way of being aggressive under the surface. This town Berlin has still much to learn and conquer and to get used to the diversity of people and make them part of it all as it is in London t.ex.. 

As I like architecture it is always interesting to see how buildings are in other countries and why I like them or not or how you can see the age of a town and the history and styles through the centuries. 

I very much like it t.ex. that the roofs of the new buildings are not flat like it used to be in Germany. You don't feel like living in a box and it seems more natural, like a tent. Which also makes them look nicer and the wood look is something I appreciate in Sweden, even know most new buildings do not have wood walls. They just look like that. But this also gives me a warmer feeling of a town. 

I also remember my colleagues with whom I worked in Gothenburg. They all have been very patience with me and respectful and also gave me the chance to learn and grow and get to know them. It is not a simple thing you can expect but I was a lucky one to have such good companies around me and I am very happy to still be in contact with them. The work in Sweden gave me much and I learned a lot and also it showed me how much we have to do in Germany to reach a better level in nursing again. The situation is far worse in Germany as you may believe and even known not all is just good in Sweden, it is much more fun and was for me- to work there. After all, work should be also something you like and get up to every morning (or next to every day). 

When you get friends in Sweden, in my experience, they are very open minded and warm then to you and will welcome you and that is not so easy to achieve as you may think. So again, I call myself lucky. 

Just now I remember all this, but you can be sure I have also the not so good things in mind, as it is everywhere the case- no place is perfect.
