London & me

Once again.. I took a short holiday and was in London... This time I stayed at the "Britannia International" which is a Hotel on the Canary Wharf. Peers who once where used and then stood still year after year till it looked like all should be putting away but then a bank build a big, big house and so the miracle started... Now this area is very modern, has also little houses... a lot of working place and of course you can live there, shop till you drop there and I was never before there... I liked it, and not because I got my room upgraded and stayed on the tent floor, which had a view on the river.... and the morning sun...

The Hotel seems to stay in the 70tis and the furnitures where a mix of .. well, kind of wannabe "Barock" and "Jugendstil", although somehow it matches everything... and thanxs big windows the room felt quite right... I cannot understand people who close the view they could have from the window.. I always liked it "pure".

London -as always makes me feel good and welcome... and I discover always some new things like the new grass they put in the parks because the Olympic had brought so much visitors that the grass was dying and dying... 

And oh I had the luck of sun... seems it was the first one sunny sunday this year, 'cos everyone was outside.. and the traffic as typically in London on weekends... someone told me... not really working...

But traffic was all the time not what I expected... Did not remember that the ways on the airport are so long and then the Gatwick Express which should not really take more then 30 min was late and then it took about 50 minutes and I though I could have taken the bus... well the same though was coming up when I drove back to the airport... late train, wrong gate, then I found the right train, but we had to change two station before the airport and run to the right train on another gate to drive us forward, although you needed eyes and a brain... :-) So after all, the 30 minutes became one hour.... But that's life and oh. so much like I know it from Berlin... everything is going on the way to renew... build new.. taken away or something like that... nothing really stays the same.. in good and bad....

Anyway, this time I saw much more the difference between Berlin and London.. beginning just with the buildings... the coffee, the colors of the houses, the toilets, the way people act and the mass of tourists...  and I think it is also because after seeing Dr. Who and Documentation about the History of London and after reading Shakespeare... I know a bit more and so my eyes catch new sides... which is so exiting.. 

If London would not be so expensive... I would move without doubt to town... 

Well I had the luck to take breakfast -a french one, in the greek street- and also to eat fish and ships- a must in my eyes- in one of the three oldest location who sell those since 1871... although.. I missed the Pups this time. I cannot say I was bored, more it was a little holiday like it should be.. 

Yes also with a walk in town and a visit in the National Museum...

Common Sense

Today I would like to recommend a book I have read... took me a while to finish it, 'cos I simple had too less time to read... anyway this book is from a friend and no I'm not gonna say - oh it is sooooo gooooood you haaaave to buy it!!!! 
Well, true is, the book is good... 
Why is it that?
To start with the style of writing... it is easy to read and simple but in no way boring. He clarifies and has examples who are good to see... although sometimes you need a bit patience 'cos he does not always take the short way to tell you what you should know... This is not because he is writing without use, it's because sometimes this is simple needed. 
What I like it's a book for business and private life to learn how to deal and manage things.
He writes about which way you can go and why... Yes he declares and gives you reason to understand why things work out or mostly not and what you can do, although last thing comes quite late in the book because it takes a longer time to describe the background for the ways you can finally go. 
I think most of you will be grateful for this, 'cos mostly we don't think much about it. If you have already learned a bit about this you should read it too, 'cos it can make you remember and ask yourself.. Am I doing it right now? Have I learned from my mistakes... Am I taking it seriously? 
You know to manage sounds more easy but we trap and fall often, which is no shame but why are we sometimes doing it over and over again and here we are with this book... It helps you to see it. Remember it. And because it has capability for private life it is also very helpful to understand all that what you do or should do. 
Just now I hope he will remember his writing very well 'cos there is a child coming and he has some examples about that too... Good luck with the practice... have patience and remember! :-)

Another reason to read this book is, it shows you how different we are and how easy we condemn others without really knowing them and in fact we are more and more having connections worldwide, so we should remember this... and he also makes you being aware of it with examples to try by yourself. He gives you question to answer... and you will laugh about yourself... how stupid we can act, although we though we never did it that much.. right... And he knows very much about it as a traveler and a man who speaks several languages...
The book is in english and that's why I think this is another good reason to take the lesson with it. It's a language which is common to most of us but let him explain this by himself.... search for the page... !
Third thing.. the book is in chapters, not too much -so you can deal easy... He catch you in the beginning and holds you and let you go with a final though... Which is always very good for you feel save with this..
And now... why not you read it... 
It's easy to read, helps you to understand and gives you something to work with in business and life. 
It's not too big and not boring you... gives you a lot of information and examples which are easy to find and understand... It connect practice and theory... so it is useful...

Do you see what I see?

When I walk around... in town or somewhere I am often someone who catch little things with his eyes... No matter what it is... a flower which seems in this moment perfectly nice and make my day or the ballon flying somewhere... or bubbles some people pop up to enjoy the working and rushing people to make them stop for a moment and rest, and think and say... Hey, there is more in this world then this you've done today...! Or I see birds in the underground when it's rainy and they try to eat but we walk next to them and watch 'em... also I see often art on walls ... mostly on houses... most of them stay just a short time, some stay longer for a little while and we can smile about it, if we see it, getting aware of... I also like the fact that in a town you are able to see old times, new times taking over old times or renewing these... Many houses shows more history the most of us are willing to take a look at and think about it... in better or worse... So now you see some pics of all this I took while taking a walk or when I was on the way to somewhere....

In the underground

I am often on my way to someone else and therefor sitting in the underground.... and sometimes a man, mostly younger or not so young but poor comes inside and have newspaper in his/her arms to sell it to us. I guess some of you know them well as long as their are in many big towns for nowadays... 
You pay around 2 € for them, part of the money goes to the seller and part to the organization who helps them, with food, cloths and a warm place... 
I wonder sometimes to give them money or not, because is this supporting a people or a system who made them coming in such a situation? I am still not 100% sure but know it's not that simple and depends also on the person who tries to sell.... But above this why are the most of you acting so wired? Next to immediately you change your habbits. You look angry, turn away, look like a hard beaten person to heaven, deeper in your books and newspapers you have or try to play the phone call.... What is it that makes you feel so stupid and a shame? Can't be so hard to just look at him when he comes/ cross your way and just say thank you, but thank you no and smile... He/she is just a human like you at least, no matter why he/she had to go this way... They are in no way dangerous or want to kill us or steal from us... So for gods sake.. please look up and smile.... You don't have to buy the paper... but respect him/her as a human like you... I think everyone deserves this....

EUROPE

Hej folks, it took me a while again.. am I just to lazy to write? NO. I just really want to write about things I care and not about something else... or like about the newest clothes, even know that those bloggers have often much more followers as I, but that is not something to care about... right...?!
This time the newspapers write a lot of the EU... that countries think about leaving the EU. Well they also write they leave in the same time Europe, but that is pure nonsense. You can't leave Europe. This is impossible, because Europe is an area, a connection of countries and it's culture. 

So they think about leaving the EU a organization a union who was made once under the idea of coming together, of getting stronger and of putting the best together and help each other more easier and also to be more powerful in economics and political culture. But it was never the idea of only being there for the banks and the rich and to teach and tell people what to do, how to live and what is aloud and is o.k. ... but this is what it went out.... 
The Idea is sold for money and even the bureaucracy became much bigger instead of smaller. 
That is what the common people are shouting at. That is what more and more little countries don't like and more and more people realize that it became an instrument to keep people stupid and quite and to make a human kind who has to obey and be slaves... modern slaves... as we aren't already those... in many ways... 
But yes, as much I like the idea of an union to get together I think it's more then late to start to change, although this is always possible, but as it seems for now, the union won't change in a healthy way..so I can understand very god if people start to talk about leaving the EU but stay part of Europe. 
We have an overregulation and so many rules which are too crazy and not really understandable... What is this god for...? 
And yes again, the last years the EU started to change its mind in what it is for us... seems like they became teachers... They act like people don't know what to do and are helpless, but they can decide and have all a mind... they can say if they want to smoke or not, if they want to ride a bike that or this way, they know the risk and the danger but forbid them and always warn them?! Please!
The funny thing is they warn and forbid and are inconsequent in the same time... Well money makes the world go round and people wonder... No doubt this action does not help much and makes people angry and getting ideas how to change things in a way so that they can go on with what they want.. like smoking... showing pics of ill and a black lung... well they just by a little baggage to put the cigarets in it or they by all those old cigaret case...
And then you can't vote for them direct neither vote them out or say that they have to leave... 
But can this be really something we want? That we try to find  something to deal with the stupid rules..? 
Last time I read about the question of cost when you live out all the danger and somethings happen... the cost of a free life... Well, did they ever done this when it's a bout people out of work.. the poor once, who gets money from the country, like Hartz IV in Germany... Did they ever ask them if its their own fault that they lost their job...? Where you unreasonable? But yeah the sooner someone dies the cheaper it gets... 
The freedom my dear is cheap but expensive are the old... the once who are around 100 years... ;-) 
We know that politics lie a lot but Brussels lies a very lot to us... and the EU is less workin' in the way the old idea was and still is and it is so sad that they go on making it worse.... Therefore I vote to leave the EU and stay in Europe... We will survive this better then we think and sometimes to make things little again helps more then to make 'em bigger...
