The gardener

Some of my near and dear say a gardener has passed my way- meaning, am I doing the right job?

Well, I am good at my job and like the work but it is true, it's no big love and so I am not missing the work, when I have my days off. But doing some things in the garden, with plants and flowers I always miss it when I don't have the chance to do so. 

I love to work with them and could be there for hours and one of my dreams still is a little house and a big garden and I am very sure that I could survive this way. Thought I am not professional and just reading a book about gardening once in a while. 

I just do and watch and learn that way and seems to have a good hand with it. 

No, it does not always grow the way I hoped for but that is the way it is for a gardener to see, which plant likes which place and what can you do to make it better, more beautiful and it is absolutely a never ending story as you start each year anew and a garden, even a balcony is never finished. But like the most gardener and hobby gardener we know this is part of what we enjoy. Have the plants survive? What about a new combination of plants and do they like each other this year? Have I bought a good plant and will this seed grow and how fast, how much, how big?

Actually if the GDR was still in existence I had no other choice then to become a gardener as I am handicapped and so we only had a couple of jobs we were allowed to learn and practice. Yes, we were second hand citizen. We have been good enough for the worst job and the stupid one. 

But having grown in a time when it was normal to have a garden to plant vegetable, fruits and herbs, I have learned by my grandmother a big deal how to maintain a garden. 

I guess in the next years I will finally have my own garden as going from balcony to roof garden makes it very likely to make this dream come true. 

And then I will always see the little beauty inside a garden, between the leaves, the branches like you can see on the following pics. And if you look closer you'll see that there is always a little changing.

The Signature of all things- a book

After all the DVDs, maybe you want to buy a book for x-mas or for a birthday? Then I can recommend my new discovery!

Elisabeth Gilbert surely known as the writer of  -Eat, Pray, Love-  has given out a new book and it's a big one. It's different to the last one but also keeps the track on the growing theme. It's a book about a women who has the luck to be a kid of a rich father and therefore be able to discover many things by herself as this plays in a time where women had less then zero education. 

It's a story of a family and a women growing in and out of it and how she discover that there is more then being a smart mind. 

As with eat, pray, love- Elisabeth is able to express with a rich language and a lot of understandable pictures her story and the journey you follow with it. 

This book is in no way a women(s) book as it contains adventure, the jungle, a rising Philadelphia and the old Europe and science from that time. 

It's not a love story book, but a book about reconnecting mind, body and soul with the help of nature and other people. 

I sure had not a single boring minute reading it and it was not a bit to much or uncomfortable to read, thought with next to 600 pages, it took its time. 

Just the much alive picture you get from our past and history is so much fun to read. 

I just hope that this book will be better translated into other languages then - eat, pray, love-  as those bad translations killed the book. Especially the german translation was catastrophic. 

You see it was and is a New York Times Bestseller, but that does not mean a book is good. 

Here I can say it is. Refreshing use of language- not too complicated, not too simple- and a story who surprise you and while reading you wonder what's next as this book has so many pages. The book is also written in a way so you can understand the upcoming things. Which I really liked as it also did ad a lot of color to the book and you are able to learn some more things in the same time. Yes, you can discover a new world that way and relate to it. 

And after all it is a book of hope, which in the end will tell you it is never to late to change or just be better then you are now. A book for long travels or holidays? Absolute, as you travel in time and space with this book. 

Also I think this book is most needed in our time- as it is about education for all and about education of mind and soul! And it is about equality. It is not that long ago that we started to fight for just those things. Just now we have a backlash and so this reminder is very much appreciate. 

Have fun reading it self or give it to someone who'll will have the luck to enjoy these letters.

My own Paradise... is gods paradise.. is ours...

Well hej folks, today's blog is just about sharing.. sharing beautiful things like the little garden next to my flat... really it's not big, could be much bigger, but still is so much to see and love and grow and well yes... to share with you.. the beauty of nature...  won't you see it... because it enjoys me every time I look at it... and it's an ongoing process... never ending.. No matter what the names of the flowers and plants are.. you can ask me if you want... but otherwise.. just come and take a look with me and relax in the beauty of gods paradise we have here on this world, in this reality we share, because this is what we should think about to save... this is what we lose, when we're not waking up and change our way of living we use to live.. all the garbage, all the wasted things, all the plastic, all the stupid and bad things, all the negative feelings all the destroying acting, all the cars, all the hunting and with all the hate we grow...  there was a man once saying.." Love is all you need... all you need is love" and yes others will say to you:  "and then my dear, be grateful, be love, be friendly, be a friend, be open eye and open soul, and also an open mind...be aware...."
