Merry Christmas

So dear readers.. now I really wish you some wonderful days...
No matter what you do or where you are..
No matter if you work or just be home..
No matter if your out or staying inside...
I wish you happy days and yes the family fight may be little, if it must be one...
Hug and kiss each other, love and respect each other..
No matter how your family looks like...
We are all equal and should have the same rights...
We all share this world and should remember to do this for each other...
Money won't make your christmas special, even know some will try this very hard...
Presents you buy will not make the biggest and best christmas as things to love is less then just to love each other...
Remember those who are gone and remember your fab live...really, no one has a stupid live, but your view might be making it that way...
Remember the lesson this year and life has given you- have you understood, have you start to change?
Remember all the luck is in your hand, even know the universe may have a word to tell or twice..
Christmas, just before the new year arrive, is a time to remember and see and look at yourself... be true.. have you made it good as you can?
Well, I am sure we all can be better next year-- I think that is fun to know and gives me hope...
Happy days... for you and may the wish of peace in this world be in our minds... may the love grow in our hearts... may the shine light a way we could go as there is to go a new, very new way for all of us...
And here are some more languages to wish you well:

°God Jul och Gott Nytt År -Swedish
°Bourit Jouvllat- well, that is one to look up... something for the holidays to do!
°Vrolijk Kerstfeest en een Gelukkig Nieuwjaar- Netherlands of course
°Maligayang Pasko at Manigong Bagong Taon- Phillipines
°Sretan Bozic- somewhere in the south of Europe (why should I make it easy for you- look it up!)
°Sawadee Pee Mai- was this China?!
°Frohe Weihnachten- Germany
°and after all: Merry Christmas- England and USA and oh so many more countries...

Bali- Tamira Kasih and Hati-Hati

That means "thank you" and "be careful....".
Which is often in use, for they build a lot in Bali and saying thank you and you're welcome- "sama sama" is a thing which balinese take very serious. I often used these words.. ok. not hat-hati, but then, yes and it was so delightful to see the smiling faces. Anyway we were not lazy the next days... while the sun comes and goes always around six o' clock.
Have I already mention that in 1000 meter high there are less rise fields? You find more and more mandarin trees and a lot of vegetable under the trees. Balinese never waste place if they can. And a lot of christmas stars plants on the side on the streets are to find too.

How do you know a glass is really clean. Go out of the room and let the fresh air show it, cos in Bali, the air is very moist.

Now we drove to Ubud and on the way we stopped at the very famous and old and not in use today - the court hall "Kerta Gusa" and next to it the parliament palace. The parliament palace is surrounded with water and so kind of a swimming house and the court house has a very special painting on the roof. It shows the story of gods and it is kind of the history of balinese religion and way of living, about good and bad and what happens when you do the right or wrong thing. It is kind of a bible. A story of a sun who wants to rescue his father a god and his mother a human from hell. Of course all went well in the end cos of the god above all gods and this one makes it alright.
Although it is the same story on every side of the house, just bit different the paintings and as it is, these are not the original colors cos the climate destroy all very fast, so they have to repaint it from time to time and this version is from the eighteens.
But the parliament palace also has such a painting, but here we see the worlds, the upper of the gods and their life, the earth world and it's human and the world of demons in the deep water and under the earth. For balinese it is all about staying in balance and in the middle of everything. Not to much god and not to much earth, not to much of lazy hours or working time.
Later we had the luck of catching the lake Batur. But the way was through the hills and mountains up and down and swinging and better not watching on the streets....
Then we arrived at a very old temple, a Brahma temple, which is the god of art and writing , of building up and once was the number one hindu god in the past.... But then we had to go on driving, until we finally arrived at the Safari Park with the Sumatra Elephants. I took a ride and believe me I wonder how they did it in the past. As long it was slow it was quite o.k. but when it became faster, oh my gosh it was horrible.
Although I am not a big fun of having animals in parks and for shows, they showed a lot respect and they had the luck to move and live as they would without humans... More or lesson.
Then we had only the rest of the way to Ubud into the "Maya Ubud Resort", which is very good and a five star hotel and it says being the best just now in Bali. But to be true... every hotel on our list says it is a very good one and got the best test results or next to the best. Does not say if it really is, but about this, later more.
But first let's talk about the rain which starts the afternoon...
No, again.. enjoy the pics and have fun....
just like you know them from the movie "tomb rider" with angelina jolie...

the parliament palace

right: the court hall

like always, when you click on the pics they get bigger

this is the painting from the parliament house

I could show more pics, but I thinks these will give you an idea of what it looks like
the Brahma temple

the view from the temple down to the street, cos the temple is standing on the mountain and goes up and up...

but so you see, how deep people live with those temples... next to them they have a house standing and it is like it is just a normal building to them..

did I show you the money?

Bali- Selamat pagi

That means- good morning.
After sleeping well, doing my meditation and yoga, I went to breakfast which was not a buffet here and so I chosed egg and traditional balinese food, like pineapple, mango and co and of course rise.
Now the two other people had arrived. Two with whom I made the tour together. They are from south Germany and quite a nice couple.
The streets in bali are now much better but as I may have told it through to you, they drive like crazy... but not that crazy like in India t.ex.... :-)
We drove to the Gungung Agung the biggest mountain in Bali with 3.142 meters high and, we also saw the mother temple of Bali, the Besakih, then we saw some different plants and learned how the most expensive coffee in the world is made and tried some different coffees. Mostly a combination of typical balinese coffee and some sweet stuff.
The holy water source from Tirta Gangga was on the way too, where once only the king and his family was able to bath in, but you know what... No we can do it too...  and it is not the only one sacred source.
But we started with the little village Balaiga, a traditional and very old one... There you see the way they made those palm writing and how they used to live before they changed into having each their own house and fence and temple and altar.
And before the mother temple gets a visit from us in sarong... or long trousers... (but never show naked shoulders... ! Balinese looked very angry when they saw this...) we also saw a lot of traditional art, which mostly was about their religion and also some eggs where painted, but I believe this is not so traditional, cos asian tourist love them and the russian maybe too.
And of course we made a dinner at the ocean at night too. The food was a mix of traditional and european, which is very sad but typical... to eat traditional you must enter the "Warong", the little streets restaurants, otherwise you get mostly european or american style food. And now, enjoy the pics...

yes they wash the cock under the sacred water to prepare for the fight- an illegally one- mostly the cocks got also colors on the feathers like pink, yellow or blue

don't push them away they eat the mosquitos, event thought they can be very loud at night

no it's not painted on palm leaves
sacred sources

heilige quellen

a sacred tree with a morning star hanging on

while we drove the car..outside..

hard to catch this wild animal.. never touch it!

that's the animal and here is the reason why we are talkin' about.. the coffee... and if you think about that 1 Euro is about 15.000 indonesian Rupiah, well... expensive coffee...

the fruit is called Rambutan and tasted bit sour and nutty..

try different coffee flavor..

big street isn't it? well two cars can drive next to each other without any problem..for a balinese.. never saw a car who had a scare, but if there is a crash, then it's a real crash... we saw one...
the mother temple, every house temple, every village and every town temple,  every country temple and street temple, every school and work temple has his sister temple here on this place, which is why this is such a big area and above all this there are also five big temples for the five most important gods in Bali, like Shiva, Brahma and Vishnu....

you never climb the stairs straight on... the doors are never on one line.. why?

cos the demons can only ran straight and not take a curve and here we see the start for a ceremony

and here they come, people over people to celebrate and bringing their  offerings

if you dare you can feel a very strong energy coming from the walls ...  best to go near down to earth part.. . very strong waves is what I've got... happy and lucky me...
standing on the Agung in 3142 meters high

our guide in kind of a traditional clothing... for the tourist... but this one is more modern...

these altars are everywhere to find... in front of every bridge, on every hotel place and in your garden, under the sacred trees and so on... there must be thousand of them and each morning all of them get their offerings
