Theodor in der Höhle des Zyklopen

Dies ist der zweite Band von den Machern Alex Cousseau und Philippe- Henri Turi.

Während Theodor das Drachenkind, der lieber dichtet als böse ist im ersten Band das Fliegen für sich entdeckt, schwebt er jetzt endlos am Himmel entlang, denn da kommt er besser zurecht mit seinen grossen, gigantischen Flügeln und den grossen Füssen. Jedoch ist es etwas einsam und so sucht er neue Freunde und gerät dabei an den Riesen Polyphem, der ihm nicht wohlgesonnen ist.

Das Buch ist auch diesmal im A3 Format, also riesig, was aber nicht nur wunderbar zur Geschichte passt, sondern den Bildern einen Detailreichtum gibt, den man vielleicht nicht gleich erwarten würde.

Wer meint dies Kinderbuch ist nichts für Erwachsene täuscht sich gewaltig, denn es ist einfach umwerfend süß und niedlich und aus dem Staunen herauszukommen während des Lesens ist unmöglich.  Allein schon der Anfang der Geschichte mit der darin enthaltenden Menü-Liste in Gedichtform ist einfach zu weg schmeißen.

So sei Euch also nicht nur der erste Band an das Herz gelegt, sondern auch der Zweite.

Ein Abend für Helmut Baumann

Am Abend des 5. Mai fand eine Gala zu Ehren von Helmut Baumann, in den Räumen des Quatsch Comedy Clubs, der neben dem Friedrichstadtplast liegt, statt. Der Ehrengast des Abends wurde gerade mit dem Deutschen Musical Theater Preis für sein Lebenswerk ausgezeichnet, durch die Deutsche Musical Akademie.

50 Jahre lang schuf er Musicals und ward nicht müde das Beste aus allen heraus zu holen. Er bereitete, ja ebnete den Weg für viele der Sänger, Choreografen, Songschreiber, Stückeschreiber und Co. vor, als auch auf.

Er trieb sie, ermunterte sie, kritisierte sie, hielt sie auf dem Boden und ließ sie Höhenflüge machen.

Durch den Abend wurde der Zuschauer von der fabelhaften Gayle Tufts begleitet, die es mit herzhaftem Charme und viel Esprit schaffte, einen würdevollen und anspruchsvollen Rahmen für die Darbietung der Gratulationsgäste zu schaffen.

Es wurden bei wunderbarer und purer Klavierbegleitung Lieder geschmettert, Erfahrungen ausgetauscht und Leidenschaften zum Besten gegeben. Mit viel Selbstironie gaben die Sänger u. A. Angelika Milster, ihr Ständchen, was der Ehrengast mit sehr viel Herzlichkeit und Rührung entgegen nahm.

Zum Schluss durfte Baumann neben seiner Danksagung, noch kleine Anekdoten erzählen, welche mit einem gemeinsammen Lied abgerundet wurden, was am Ende nur noch die Antwort auf die Frage- Wann ist die Beste Zeit?- hatte, -Wer weiss?!-.

Am Ende wünscht man diesem Format, das heute im kleinen Rahmen seinen Einstand fand, die Chance, so groß zu werden, wie die Macher es sich wünschen, denn die Idee stammt, wie vieles was wir kennen aus den USA, wo es mittlerweile grosse Gala- Abende für das Musical gibt, als auch für einzelne Menschen, die sich jahrelang geopfert und ihren Stempel aufgetragen haben.

5. Mai- Tag der Behinderten

Der Tag der Behinderten. Noch so ein Tag extra, um an Dinge zu erinnern, die selbstverständlich sein sollten, aber es kaum sind.
Nach wie vor sind Behinderte in unserer Gesellschaft alles andere als integriert. Gerade in Deutschland stehen noch sehr viele Vorurteile im Weg. 
Es beginnt bereits vor der Geburt. Mit der Tatsache das man ausgewählt wird, z.B. durch Abtreibung. Oder wenn die Eltern erfahren, sie haben wahrscheinlich ein "Unnormales" Kind. Schon stecken sie in Schubladen, aus denen sie kaum wieder heraus kommen. Die Empfehlungen der Gesellschaft an die Eltern sind teils unglaublich. 
Dabei empfinden sich die Betroffenen selbst oft gar nicht als Behindert, aber sehr oft als gehindert. Es ist die Gesellschaft die sie leiden lässt und ihnen u. A. das Gefühl von Minderwertigkeit gibt. 
Behinderte kommen gut mit ihrer Behinderung klar. Meistens. Sie lernen mit ihr zu leben. Mal mehr, mal weniger gut. 
Ja, sie brauchen oft Hilfsmittel um sich in der Welt der Nichtbehinderten zurecht finden zu können. 

Aber gehen wir doch einfach mal einigen Dingen nach, zu diesem Thema. 
Gut 90 % der Behinderten bleiben abhängig vom System und kommen nie richtig im Arbeitsmarkt an. Nicht weil sie unwillig sind, oder gar unfähig währen, sondern weil man sie nicht lässt.
Die restlichen 10% haben vorwiegend Berufe im Niedriglohnsektor. Sie sind gering Beschäftigte, einfach beschäftigte und schlecht bezahlt. Kaum einer bekommt die Möglichkeit auch im anspruchsvolleren Arbeitsmarkt sich zu etablieren. 
Woran liegt dies? 
Erstens, die Ausbildung. Die meisten Behinderten bekommen keine oder eine ungeeignete Ausbildung oder eben eine für den Niedriglohnsektor. Dabei sind sie auch zur Schule gegangen, haben durchaus Abitur, Realschulabschlüsse... nur- diese werden oft nicht als gleichwertig angesehen, da die Meisten auf Spezialschulen gehen und häufig haben diese tatsächlich einen anderen Lehrplan, aber pauschal kann man damit kaum sagen, sie lernen weniger. Es ist sogar so, das sie Lehrpläne ganz wie Nichtbehinderte durcharbeiten, nur die Bedingungen und Ausstattungen in der Schule sind anders. Aber wir müssen tatsächlich noch weiter zurück gehen. 
In unserem Lande wird gerne Kategorisiert und sobald ein Kleinkind als behindert eingestuft wird, ist der Weg des 2. Klasse Mensch fast unvermeidlich, weil die Ämter den Eltern kaum eine Chance lassen ihr Kind woanders, als auf einer Spezialschule anzumelden. Ein leidige Erfahrung vieler Mütter und Väter, die selbst nur zu gut wissen, das z.B. körperlich Behinderte nicht zwangsläufig lernschwach sein müssen oder gar dumm sind. Ganz im Gegenteil, ein grosser Teil davon ist sehr wohl in der Lage einen durchschnittlichen Lehrplan zu bewältigen. So währe es eigentlich sinnvoller, wenn unser Land die Integration bereits in den Schulen fördern würde. Aber eigentlich müsste es schon im Kindergarten anfangen, denn dort lässt sich für alle der gemeinsame Umgang am einfachsten trainieren, erlernen und die Vorurteile und Ablehnungen würden gar verhindert werden können. 
Ja, es währe schön, wenn man erst einmal schauen täte, was die Kinder können, und dann entscheidet, ob sie die ersten Jahre auf einer Spezialschule gehen sollten und dann auf eine für Nichtbehinderte, oder ob sie gleich auf eine Nichtbehindertenschule gehen können oder ob sie tatsächlich am Besten nur auf einer Schule für Behinderte aufgehoben sind. Ausserdem könnte man damit die Selbständigkeit Behinderter fördern, ihr Selbstvertrauen steigern und den Eltern beibringen, ihre Kinder nicht zu sehr wie rohe Eier anzupacken.
Denn es ist leider wahr, das viele Eltern ihre behinderten Kinder zu wenig in ihrer Selbstständigkeit fördern. Sie werden umsorgt, werden abgeholt und kaum gefördert Dinge alleine zu tun. So können Blinde teilweise auch mit 25 Jahren immer noch nirgends alleine unterwegs sein.
Nun gibt es aber Behinderungen, die eine Spezialschule erfordern, aber deren Kinder genauso klug oder dumm sind, wie alle anderen auch. Dazu gehören Blinde und Gehörlose, wie Schwerhörige. Deren Ausbildung ist als gleichwertig zu sehen, wie der Nichtbehinderter, aber so wird sie selten aufgefasst von Ausbildungsstellen und Arbeitgebern. 
Denn das grösste Vorurteil ist: Behindert gleich Dumm! 
Was für ein Irrsinn, aber der Staat fördert diesen, denn die Auswahl war und ist sehr beschränkt, was Behinderten an Berufen angeboten oder empfohlen wird, obwohl viele viel mehr können. Sehr viel mehr sogar und wenn die Kinder das Glück haben, Eltern hinter sich zu wissen, die sagen, mach' was du willst und lass die Anderen reden, dann kann es sein, das sie auch lernen was sie wollen und zeigen können, was in ihnen steckt. 
Oft heisst das erst einmal gegen einen Berg Vorurteile arbeiten und hoffen das mindestens eine Stimme mehr für die Ausbildung als gegen die Ausbildung von Ihnen ist. 

Nehmen wir ein Beispiel aus meiner Berufswelt, der Pflege. Gehörlose und Schwerhörige werden allgemein als vollkommen ungeeignet für den Beruf angesehen und als zu dumm. Fakt ist, das es Blödsinn ist und die Arbeit mit Schwerhörigen, wie Gehörlosen möglich ist. Sicher, nicht in allen Bereichen der Pflege, aber dennoch machbar. Dazu gehört auch das Nichtbehinderte sich auf ein anderes Arbeiten einlassen und auf die Person. Ausserdem, das man endlich vom Denken weg kommt, wenn man z.B. gerufen hat und derjenige reagiert nicht gleich, nicht gleich zu denken, der hat mal wieder nicht gehört, sondern erst einmal davon auszugehen, das er gerade konzentriert arbeitet. Denn bei Hörenden wird automatisch davon ausgegangen, dass der Grund eben darin liegt. 

Körperlich Behinderte können nicht soviel schaffen wie gesunde Menschen? Welch ein Irrtum das sein kann. Stimmen die Bedingungen, dann können sie das sehr wohl, aber die Vorurteile hindern sie daran, dies überhaupt zeigen zu können. 

Nun haben sie recht, wenn sie sagen das es auch Behinderte gibt, die einfach nicht arbeitsfähig sind, weil sie z.B. mehrfach behindert sind. Stimmt, aber auch sie werden versteckt, gehindert und kaum integriert. Auf Veranstaltungen will man sie nicht haben. Sie werden schief angeschaut, als unangenehm empfunden und das nur weil man im Grunde sich nicht damit auseinandergesetzt hat. 
Es ist selten in Deutschland, sie auf Konzerten, Strassenfesten, Vergnügungsparks und dergleichen zu sehen. Obwohl auch sie Freude empfinden können, sich einsam fühlen,wenn man sie alleine und immer in der Stube lässt. Auch sie haben sinnliches Empfindungsvermögen. 

Es gibt vorbildliche Länder, in denen diese Menschen als "normal" angesehen werden und Teil der gesamten Gesellschaft sind. Leider gibt es auch viele Länder in denen sie möglichst abgeschoben werde und für die Familie als Schande angesehen werden. Aber ehe wir uns auf diese Länder stürzen, sollten wir es im einem doch eigentlich aufgeklärtem Land schaffen, diese Menschen endlich nicht mehr als 2. Klasse Menschen zu betrachten. 
Es sollte möglich sein uns, die Behindert sind, eine Chance zu geben, uns zu beweisen, zu zeigen das wir es sehr wohl können. Selbstverständlich heisst das auch das Behinderte aus ihrem Loch heraus müssen, von sich aus. Es wagen müssen sich zu zeigen und ihr Recht einzufordern. Das bedeutet auch, das Eltern ihre Kinder zu Selbstvertrauen und Selbstständigkeit erziehen sollten. Ohne diese wird es nicht weit kommen. 
Die Gesellschaft sollte auch aufhören aus Behinderten immer wieder Opfer zu machen, sie zu solchen zu degradieren, klein zu machen und zudem müssen alle Behinderte sich endlich als Täter ihres eigenen Lebens begreifen. 
Einige haben es bereits verstanden, viele aber brauchen den Moment des Erwachens noch. Dafür auch steht der Tag der Behinderten. Er soll dabei helfen.

Grabbers- a movie

Today I will talk about an Irish movie. 
It's a quite typical but typical Irish movie.
The genre is not exactly clear to name it. 
But the story is lovely and funny and here is what it is about:
Aliens are arriving on an Irish island and people are disappearing. 
Dead wales will be found and a fisherman catches something he can't explain.
A bizarre thing is going to frighten the islander. 
What can they do? A storm is coming up and no help in sight.
Getting drunk and hope for the best. 
YES that's it and so the fight starts. They get drunk and keep together and find out how to deal with the beast in a heavy rainy night. 
This movie is a funny movie, much like a mix of Aliens, Gremlins and Harry Potter -a- like. A classic action comedy with aliens and Irish humor. A monster movie who has it all. Romance, drunk people, rain, danger and actors who play very lovely. 
Richard Coyle (Prince of Percia/ Coupling) and the charming Ruth Bradley are playing the top of a gang of people who are going to save mankind from getting eaten of bloody Aliens. Russell Tovey (Known from Dr. Who/ Humans) and actors like Ned Dennehy (Sherlock Holmes) and many more are giving this fun the color to enjoy the dark humor and with the director John Wright (Tormented) the idea of defending with alcohol becomes best reality. 
The animations are very good made ( -Harry Potter- is in the background of the guys who made the animation) and here's also why I told in the beginning that you will be remembered of t.ex. Gremlins, because some scene in the film seems to taken out of Gremlins, only with Aliens babies are doing the same things. Kind of- but watch the movie and you'll understand. 
The landscape is very beautiful taken with the cameras and the places well chosen. You can catch a very good feeling for the country, though it is just from the countryside. 
The storyline is slowly growing and very classic like it has to be in a horror movie- by the way with the typical finish- like in "Aliens". 
And... finally it shows that Aliens can also land in another country then the USA. 
So this little horror movie, with romance and some laughter for you (dry Irish humor) is my recommendation for today. It is the right day to sit down and follow.

World Press Freedom Day

Today again we celebrate the world press freedom day. Which I could say we celebrate it for real but the truth is far away from it. Press freedom is still something we have to talk about, think about and fight for. Only each 6. man on the world lives in a country with press freedom as it is written in law, more or lesson. That is the lowest number since we've started to have a free press. 
But what does this number say? Not much actually or? It says that most people can't have a free press around them. Though more and more people are able to read, the things they read are mostly censored and directed. A lot of propaganda is in the press and a lot lies and more or lesson lies. 
The owner of most newspaper still come from the politic and so they say what and how to write. Or they are from the industry. So even in ol' Europe the press is in that case very one-sided. 
That makes it so difficult to tell people what to believe, when you discuss a theme. Actually most people don't reflect what they read cos they never learned to question. The same is for TV. Yes TV lies more then you could have ever imagine. The stories, the pictures are made up like a movie. It is drama, it is short but also very clearly one-sided. 
Though we are lucky that many bad things come up which have been hidden from us- it is as lucky we can be just the top of the iceberg. 
But fortunately there are little newspaper and magazines who report against all odds. They risk a lot. Not only reputation, life and security. They also risk a lot of money, because they have to find a way to survive on it's own. This is a hard thing to do and heroic- you may believe but no, it is just a must. 
Some people want you to learn to see, to understand and to be more free, because we are far to easy going with our freedom of free press, speech and our own information.
Just this year, 166 online- activist are looked. Only this year have been already 16 Journalists and 9 online- activist murdered. And this is just the number we get official. 
In fact we have a big problem to get our true information. Many countries have sett out laws which makes it next to impossible to work as an journalist. many countries have put up rules for paying high for a visit for special places like detention - to see and write about it. They don't want you to know that the government is hiding refuges on such bad places that the human rights are killed. 
These are just some ideas for you to get a bit of the picture we have to deal with. 
Why is this so important? It is very simple actually. The freedom of press is a sign for your freedom to live. But as I mention far to many take their freedom for given. And just when I think about my own country and a man called Edward Snowden, I could wonder. Why my own government is not showing any sign of caring for the fact that they have to protect us? NSA is doing an absolutely disturbing thing and it is all against the right of our freedom of information etc.. I really don't have to go deeper into this! 
Espionage is against press freedom, is against your freedom of keeping your secrets and well just your own information to keep to yourself. Whatever you do, you should be the one to say what is allowed to known for others. And a press must be free to investigate without getting a hammer in the knees. Which is happening when you have things like NSA going in that scale! But even if it is not that, we buy with credit cards and go to Amazon, Facebook etc. We leave our information and more information we want them to have, but they don't ask us and they also try to avoid to get the press inside their companies, because if we could read a bout it, would we be so easy going with our information? If our journalist could tell us what they really do with our lives and in our lives, would we be that naive? 
I guess not. So this is another reason why we have a very low press freedom, if at all. Most of us are just unaware of these facts. Some choose to stay blind.
Although some may say the press is lying why reading then?! Oh yes, they did a good work to make us unsure, but without a press and even it is such with little truth, the common people would not have had any chance to know what is going on, because even in lies we can read true things and we know what the devil is doing. This is why we better question what we read, why it is better to ask ourself who has an interest that we read this and that just in that moment.
So keeping up the good work is important and as more and more things are coming up to remind us and to show us, it is very important to keep up the fight for a free press. 

How powerful press and online-activists are is easy to see with every revolution, with every cut a system does. Just take the new "big" thing Russia. Next to all I know who wrote critical about the countries politic or have a theme which concern them- so they think- has been banned or blocked. 
The blog community can see it as we can read where our followers comes from and even those who wrote little lost their readers from Russia in the last month. 
And this is just for this country!
There you see how important it is to keep open ways, to find ways to open new ways and to speak out for free press and to tell people to take a deeper look and to have a bit courage.

a little funny thing

Yes this happened to me once too. I was not crying but hell was I like, where is my mobile??!!!! I searched and searched and then I took my phone and ringed my mobile and while I was waiting to hear it came to me- O-oh.... I put it on silent the other day, because I had an interview. Shit.... 
Immediately I stopped calling myself and went on searching and we all know how a mess we are without these little things nowadays. Our affection is so strong even know that we can live without a mobile we forgot somehow in the same time. Do we really write down our numbers we have saved in that thing? No we know we should, but most of us never do. How often do I read on Facebook- please send me a "Personal Message" with your mobile number, my has broken - or like this-..... It's hilarious to watch ourself running through our flat and engage our hair and sweat like we did the hardest workout in our live. The pulse is on 180 and our eyes looks like bigger then the stars in the sky when we look in the mirror for a second.
And remember when you have found it- how happy you are and how fast you calm down and the day is saved. You had already planed the alarm clock and what call you must make to shut down the mobile and etc... Oh how happy you are, after all the jumping around and you ignore perfectly that your flat looks like a bomb has exploded inside now. 
Yeah, I see you smiling now... that's good... a smile a day, keeps the doctor away... ;-)

The day of celebrating the fight for work. This is what most know about this day, but this is just one thing happening on this day. We start the spring, we fight for freedom, we fight for the right of a good work and money to live of, we remember the big fights between people and the police and all the fire coming up and we remember that we sometimes don't know who is fighting and for what. The extremist use this day and the people who just wants to fight for just the reason to fight. 
Does anybody remember that the Nazis invented this day 1933 as the "National working day" in Germany? Or that in 1977 in Turkey 37 people died while they where demonstrating? Or that the Royal Air Force was going to make a "War" for the Falkland Islands? Or that in 2004 ten new Countries became part of Europe?
But mostly it is the day of fight for equality in work- like the fight from the Aborigines in 1946, as most of them were the famers. 
But most of these fights have something in common. Education. Without this, people would not know how to fight, for what to fight and what to do. 
For work education is very important, although it always was and still is very different what people learn. And also what they are able to learn. 
Education is very important for your fight for freedom too, because if you just learned to listen without thinking by yourself, you are easy to become a victim of others, of thoughts who work against you and your needs and will, even if you are not aware of it. To learn to understand the meaning of words is a big challenge, because words can mean so much. Body language is part of understanding. It can make a difference between peace and war. Educated people who have learned to think self are less to take action in war, then unknown and blind people. 
Education also gives you the opportunity to live your life in your own way, because if you know how to plant, where to get water and how to exchange things, you are harder to make a slave. But that is one of the reason extremist kill teacher, burn schools and try to keep women away from knowledge. That's why the church tells people that they have to follow the rules and the interpretations the preachers are given without asking. Cos fear is easier to put in your heart when you are bad educated. And fear makes you a believer and part of bad things. With fear you will denounce easier, kill easier, doom easier. 
Education gives you the possibility to express what you want and so you can get a better life. In that case it is sad to hear that the youngest are not learning to write and read the way we did, because some people think they should have a good time at school and are better not to press and correct. Sad because education, a good education is our future. And while the education is becoming better in the third world, it is getting worse in the first world, we struggle with economy and political changes.
But the biggest risk now seems to be that education is just in the way that students learn only to read and take the words as they read it but are not allowed to think by them self or even learn how to think and make conclusions and to see if the conclusions they made are logical. People don't learn to make the difference between feelings, emotions and thoughts.
I see this as a big problem, because propaganda has easy to deal with you and can sell things which are more or lesson or even so untrue. You stay stupid and follow just like a sheep and fear is crawling inside you but you can't tell why.
Having an own opinion is less welcome these days as it seems. 
Remember those people who have the power just have them because they don't want you to see, don't let you see, that the power lies in your knowledge. 
You are stronger as you may know and are always more free then you've learned. 
A good education will teach you that. 
So teach your child to read, speak and think. Learn it by yourself by reading and thinking about what you have read. Question what you read, because not every word tells you the truth. Like when we heard the other day that researches in science took to many limits and t.ex. many things we know about psychology is only true for high educated american and some european- but they told us it is true for everyone. 
Yes it can scary you sometimes, because to know and understand more gives you the idea of how much we have and how less we know from each other. But if we want a future with less risk, less damages and less war, we need the education and we need to build it up to make it the way that people learn to use their minds more instead of just following the words of others. Because just now we take everything we can to use to make money and forget that there is a future to plan, to think of and to talk about. Take the pic for some thoughts.
